On December 8 and 9, 2017, for the fourth consecutive year, the Lewis Lane Players proudly presented "It's a Wonderful Life! A Live Radio Play."  For the first time we were able to bring you the show at the newly renovated Cultural Center at the Havre de Grace Opera House.

Take yourself back to a day before television, when radio was king and the human imagination reigned. In the radio play genre, the troupe performs an old-style radio show before a “studio” audience. Just like in radio, actors may play multiple parts and the sound effects are created live before your eyes. George Bailey grew up a wide-eyed dreamer. He had grand plans to travel the world and build great things. But one circumstance after another kept pulling him back to the small town of his childhood, Bedford Falls. George constantly puts others before himself. But when his self-sacrificing lifestyle causes everything around him to collapse, he finds himself standing on a bridge contemplating ending his own life. Only the intervention of Angel Second Class Clarence Oddbody, who shows George what the world would be like if he had never been born, makes George realize just what a wonderful life he has.
